Skinners by Will Forest

Skinners by Will Forest

Well, it didn’t take me long to get Will’s newest book from Amazon. I am borrowing a few words from the info at Amazon: “Eddie Fife is a British sailor in the Caribbean in 1662. When he’s abducted by a band of buck-naked buccaneers and forced to take a stand in their battle with the Sea Witch, he finds strength and love in the most unusual of circumstances.” Needless to say, I wasn’t disappointed having now read the book.

Now, I am very familiar with the Caribbean environment having spent many winters there, three months at ta time. I am pleased to say that Will nailed it when it came to setting the scene. As a historian, I was very pleased at the authenticity of the time period, something that often makes or breaks a story for a reader. With those critical pieces in place, will skilfully creates a story that engages the reader, at least this particular reader.

What can I tell you about the story? Conflicts, romance, mystery, honesty, and a window of possibility for humans and human relationships. Anymore, and it would turn this into a spoiler. I do encourage each and every one of our visitors here to add this story into their library either as an eBook or a print book. You won’t be disappointed.
